Our 2017 Women’s Day Project Luncheon will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Saint Paul’s Reformed Episcopal Church, 800 Church Road, Oreland, PA 19075. Linked below is information regarding the luncheon. Please share this information.
Miss Judy King, a woman whose life’s work expresses the words of our 2017 Theme, “Women of Influence and Faith,” will be our luncheon speaker. Judy has served faithfully for more than 25 years in Brazil as Bible translator and missionary to the Apurina Indians.
The goal for this year’s project is to raise $10,000 to be used to explore methods of enhancing our Women’s Day Project Luncheons to encourage greater program participation throughout the denomination and yield greater financial offerings to support our annual projects; and to develop cohesion of the work of the Committee on Women’s Ministry across the denomination.
To this end, we will be transitioning from our annual central location gatherings (in Philadelphia) to annual regional gatherings and triennial central location gatherings. It is our hope to begin holding these decentralized luncheons in 2018 making this, our 2017 luncheon, a very special one as we close the era of centralized location luncheons. Please plan to join us for this very special time of fellowship.
We solicit your generous financial and prayerful support of the project through our 2017 Women’s Day Project Offering. Offerings for the project may be brought with you to the luncheon or mailed to Mrs. Diane Wright, 65 Harrison Drive, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922. Please make checks or money orders payable to the Committee on Women’s Ministry.
For luncheon reservations, complete the reservation form and mail it along with your luncheon cost of $25.00 per person to Mrs. Beverly Reese, 3996 Lancelot Place, Philadelphia, PA 19154, by Friday, April 28, 2017 (luncheon cost must accompany reservation form). Ladies of the Diocese of the Southeast, please make your reservations through your diocesan office.
Looking forward to a great time of fellowship at Saint Paul’s on May 5th.
In His service,
Gale G. Hill, Chairperson
Committee on Women’s Ministry
