The Committee on Women’s Work is in charge of five projects annually:
The Women’s Day Project Luncheon was traditionally held annually on the first Friday in May, but in order to increase participation across the REC, the luncheons began to be held at regional locations in 2018. Women’s Day is a program of spiritual and inspirational blessing including a banquet and the acceptance of monetary gifts from women’s groups toward a specific need within the denomination. A list of denominational needs is presented to the Committee on Women’s Ministry by the bishops of the church. The project for the following year is selected from the list and presented to the Women of the Church at Women’s Day.
