The Committee on Women’s Work is in charge of five projects annually:
The Women’s Day Project Luncheon was traditionally held annually on the first Friday in May, but in order to increase participation across the REC, the luncheons are being held at regional locations as of 2018. Women’s Day is a program of spiritual and inspirational blessing including a banquet and the acceptance of monetary gifts from women’s groups toward a specific need within the denomination. A list of denominational needs is presented to the Committee on Women’s Ministry by the bishops of the church. The project for the following year is selected from the list and presented to the Women of the Church at Women’s Day.
The Spiritual Enrichment Conference is designed to provide spiritual fellowship, instruction, and opportunity for women to participate and to grow in the knowledge of Christ and be strengthened as members of His Body. The 2019 conference was held October 11-13 in Williamsburg, VA at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Our special guest was Mrs. Georgette Forney, President of Anglicans for Life and co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign.
Annual Publication of Devotional Booklets written by Reformed Episcopal Women, for use in the Women of the Church groups. Each booklet is a ten-month devotional study guide, beginning in September or October through June or July.
“Dates to Remember” is a list of important dates from each diocese making the local church aware of denominational functions so as to avoid scheduling conflicts.
